Azalea Cup 2010

On July 24, 2010, Orlando and Augusta met for both of the clubs' first-ever match on St. Simons Island, GA. Orlando brought 17 to play in the 7-a-side match, while Augusta fielded 11 players. And it was Orlando that came away with the victory and the inaugural Azalea Cup that day after the sweltering South Georgia heat and humidity had taken its toll on both teams. But it was a landmark event in Southeastern U.S. hurling. Both clubs have been and continue to be instrumental in the growth of the sport and the support of newly formed clubs across the region.
